At the height of their influence and prestige, 2nd Baron Wilbraham Egerton and his wife Mary played hosts to the Prince and Princess of Wales in May 1887.
This talk delves into what culinary delights guests would have been offered at a sumptuous dinner held in honour of the royal visitors in the dining room here at Tatton and the preparations the house, garden, farm and estate staff would have made in anticipation of the event. After the talk, take the opportunity to explore either the Gardens or the Mansion depending on your area of interest. This event is intended for adult visitors. Your ticket fee includes a hot drink and cake to enjoy with the talk, as well as park entry and one attraction admission.
